Driving
Drivers must hold the correct licence, insure the vehicle, follow road rules and keep vehicles legally roadworthy. The minimum age depends on the vehicle type.
The driving system and some restrictions differ across the UK. For example, newly qualified drivers in Northern Ireland must display R plates for a specified period. Check current licensing rules on GOV.UK or the relevant Northern Ireland government service.
